Welcome to Romark Engineering, your bespoke metalwork fabrication experts. Whatever your requirements, from the basic concept through to the finished project, we will use our expertise to fulfil your needs. We work to critical deadlines where a high-quality finished project is key. Our skilled engineers can produce hand-made prototype parts as well as parts for production and pre-production runs. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us today for a quote on any of our services.

What is milling?

Metal milling is the process of forming an element or part of a component using a high-speed spindle and specialised cutting tool. Using structured geometry and blades, these tools remove excess parts of metal (usually as shavings or dust) to shape components or parts of metalwork. This precise process allows us to produce a range of complex elements and parts suitable for various industries.

CNC Machining for Milling

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining is a manufacturing process whereby pre-programmed software dictates the movement of tools and machinery. Our advanced machinery is used to create precise metal parts and components by controlling a range of complex machinery, from grinders and lathes to mills and CNC routers. With CNC machining, three-dimensional cutting tasks can be accomplished in a single set of prompts.

Manual Milling

Although sophisticated CNC machinery can complete most tasks, we can also manufacture using manual methods. We believe that the ability to produce components in a “traditional” way is a very important skill. This is why all our apprentices are trained in these skills to give them a strong foundation before progressing to more modern machinery techniques. So, from machining components to press tooling, we can fulfil your requirements to very high standards.

Precision Milling with CNC

We create bespoke metalwork fabrication using our advanced software and methods – from one-off projects to full production runs of components. We can also design and produce CNC machined tooling tailored to your specific requirements and offer a 2D and 3D CAD service for various uses, from reverse engineering projects to producing drawings for manufacture. Manufacturing for both one-off and production volumes for the automotive, power and architectural industries, our highly skilled workforce produces prototype parts and pressed parts for production runs.

What are the benefits of milling?

Accuracy & Zero Defects

We programme the desired cuts into the software programme, which are then dictated to the corresponding milling machinery. This means that all dimensional tasks are carried out to precise specifications with zero defects.

Variety

Due to the different shapes and mechanical application methods of milling cutters, we can optimise a range of parts and components. From prototype parts as well as parts for production and pre-production runs, CNC machinery can do it all.

Productivity

Milling is ideal for producing individual pieces in small or large batches. As it can produce complex shapes in a range of quantities, we can control the operation and increase productivity.

Efficiency

Using One CNC CAD-CAM, a market leader programming system, we deliver high quality, tight tolerances and improved efficiency. You can trust that your products are in safe hands with us.

Cost-Effective

Our milling machinery is highly cost-effective. As the machinery is so accurate, waste is kept to a minimum and no raw materials will be thrown away. This means that you will save money every time you come to us.

CNC Machining & CAD | Precision & Speed

Computer-aided design or CAD is one of the first steps in the process of visualising your part or component. Using computer software, we can create a 3D image to map out the shape and dimensions of the part. The process of computer-aided design combined with CNC machining enables us to create precise and detailed metal parts that are suitable for a range of industries.
